And the beast continued: "..and all this kingdom I want to share with you, my love, because you are the only one that can see my true self even behind this hideous form. I will be your guardian in the sky, keeping you safe wherever you go".

this is so nice. can u give some pointers on lighting? how to make something look so naturally lit up? the light in this works spreads so harmoniously! How to achieve such result?
Thanks! One of the most important rules for making lighting look natural is to have temperature contrast between light and shadow. In this case, we have a warm bright sunlight and cool blue shadows. The blue tint in the shadows are caused by the skylight.
Another thing to keep in mind is the values of large shapes. You should have the lightest value in shadows still darker than the darkest value in light. To make a dramatic lighting, reserve the lightest tone to only a few spots, and then add some blur to the brightest spots to make it glow.
Y'know, Thanks a tonne for the information. I have seen details in pictures but really didn't know how to imply them. This will help I am sure! Thanks!
Sorry for the late critique. Had college to deal with.
If the dragon is facing in that direction, his right wing should be higher than his left, not lower. His left hand under the girl looks a little "slacked off on", as in you just tried to hide it, and looks a bit smaller than his right. In other words, we should kinda see his fingers through hers. The bottom of his tail looks like it's flat as paper going through the rocks like that. His right arm looks rather desaturated and smudgy.
The girl's upper body is rather weird. Where's her right shoulder? If you were to draw a symmetry line through her body, her neck and head are off-center. Her fingers are a bit...claylike? It's as if they don't have bones and can move inany direction. Her right arm looks like it's so much longer if her elbow is that far down compared to her left.
The clouds in the background are kinda rushed. Adding more depth to them makes the image more appealing.

I hope this helps
