Oh awesome! :D I really suck at compositions, my digitals are always the same, and I always struggle with my traditional! Definitely a big help! Looking forward to the next part!

nice thing to do dude, personally I always rely on my feeling as I have no official background in graphics and such and I dont think i could do any other way anyway, but it's always nice when someone decides to explain things to otherS;P

One must still have chaos in one to give birth to a dancing staR;-)
I think this is WONDERFUL information. I for one read all of it -- and while being familiar with the key points here, I still enjoyed reading it and I learned something :)

Thanks so much for doing this -- I say keep on!
This is good to know! I always go for the feeling but don`t know the theory behind it.

Thanks!
i dont have much og knowleges in theory, and do things in accordance with expirience or feelings. So now i can feel more confident. thank you

I almost never do enough planning when I start to paint, but this is a simple way of blocking out the picture beforehand that doesn't take too much time or patience - thanks :)
good stuff here, i have a habit of starting my light source dead center, and it's usually the primary focus but i try to go either side. i'll have to try your 1/3's cross section method next time i paint.

tiny, little circles. . .
Very good tutorial of the basics of composition. You really don't see much of these around. This reminded me of some the basic things I should know and had almost totally forgotten about paintings so thank you for that.
