Traditional Art / Paintings / Landscapes & Scenery

This is kind of a self portrait, as my last name is translated as "swamp's end"

Still trying to learn how to handle acrylic color. This is my third painting using acrylics. Painted on 55x40cm canvas using limited palette of red, yellow, blue, white and black.

Agreed! I'm only two paintings in, but it's well worth the effort to actually create a scene from scratch.
I'm still trying to figure out how to make that blurry misty look. It's brilliant!

Try using a scanning software.

Take the painting outside into daylight but not into direct sunlight. Try to avoid using flash.
